Main Living Cavern
Melodic laughter rings throughout the spacious cavern as riders socialize with
one another, boasting of adventures a-dragonback, and gossiping about stodgy
wingleaders and sordid affairs. Drudges rush past you, their arms laden with
dishes and mugs of Klah, desperate to relieve themselves of their burden
while pesky 'lizards inhibit their progress.
The light from the glows warmly illuminates the domed cavern and shimmers off
the walls as miniscule mineral particles reflect the soft lighting like
twinkling stars blanketed in a wintry gray sky. Numerous tables lie scattered
across the room, some large enough to hold a whole wing of riders while
others were made only for two. Towards the back, a large hearth breathes
soul soothing warmth into weary bodies as its flames dance with hypnotic
grace and puppet flickering shadows across the spacious stone stage.
Sultry, mouth-watering aromas float in from a small archway that leads to the
kitchens while chattering can be heard emanating from a wide hallway.
Flopped atop various perches are Saffir, Trickster, Ember, Candle, Faust,
Spyder, Torpen, Fredo, and Heli.
You see Nymiz, S'am, Q'uest, Scary Smiling Man Egg, Fuzzy Dust Puppy Egg, and
Lights of New York Egg here.
Coriianna, Taas, Dana, Shae, Qilana, and Katyana are here.
From here you can go:
Lower Caverns Bowl Infirmary
Kitchen Gaming Room
Dallaney has arrived.
Fuzzy Dust Puppy Egg doesn't move. Absolutely not. It... no. It sits.
Kalina has arrived.
Kalina arrives.
Aoede has arrived.
Shae goes home.
Katyana goes home.
"More of the buggers." If possible, Qilana is in an even worse mood now than
last night, this time without even the rejection of her precious meatrolls to
cause it. "Popping up like... something." Not sure what, but something.
Dallaney pads in, waving goodbye to the weyrbrat she'd come with, then
proceeds to a table with superb familiarity with the surroundings. Watching
the others carefully, she perches onto the bench in usual curled-up posture.
Taas looks up from her breakfast. Eggs? She is quite sure they weren't here a
moment ago. With a blink, she goes back to her food. Not even lizzen will
keep a hungry Taas from breakfast.
Some drudges arrive to cart Kino off to bed.
Kalina says, "Hello everyone."
Aoede's iced gaze is fixed rather ruefully on the single hide she carries as
she strides in, and therefore the normally self-possessed girl runs right
into a exiting bluerider. Staggering back, the harper murmurs a snake-swift
apology before the bluerider sweeps past with nose high in the air. Risking a
glance behind her after the woman, apprentice makes her way in and pauses.
What, ho? Eggs. Well, I'll be - shelled.
Kalina smiles
Dana chokes on her meatroll. Less spice next time. Fanning her mouth, she
gulps klah. Ahg. there's hot pepper in my mug too..
Coriianna nods to Kalina, again, from where she's huddled by the hearth.
Kalina just looked at you.
Fuzzy Dust Puppy Egg moves. Yep. It can't help itself. It just kind of quakes,
hairline cracks appearing in its dusty shell.
Scary Smiling Man Egg perpetuates cheery image by just sitting there, beaming
out that hue in stolid readiness.
Taas looks up from her food a second time, "Weeellllll I suppose I could do
/both/" She says out-loud by accident "The eggs are quite enticing...."
Lights of New York Egg doesn't move, though saffron lights seem to flicker,
red'norange seems to shimmer - but then it stops.
Qilana glares, gulping her klah and herding her remaining meatrolls into a
protective pile in front of her, much to Noestrello's dismay. Klah is gulped
quickly and finished, rather than sipped quietly.
Kalina looks around for somewhere to sit.
Fuzzy Dust Puppy Egg takes center stage, thankyouverymuch. Those hairline
cracks deepen, marring otherwise cute'nperfect fuzzy-lookin' egg. And then it
begins to break, spilling out its simple occupant.
Fuzzy Dust Puppy Egg rolls to the left, rolls to the right and then, with a
tremendous heave, shatters as it tries to go both ways at once. From its
remains emerges Mostly Harmless Brown Hatchling.
Mostly Harmless Brown Hatchling
Clean, elegant lines form this bay-rum brown's slight form, all graceful
length and dignified curves over the slim figure of the firelizard. A dished,
tapering head angles back to the tossed neck-ridges, softly arc'd over the
satin skin of the neck. A long back floods into supple wings, desert sand at
sunset the color of the diaphanous membrane. Dainty limbs are elegant,
refined, yet strong, more than enduring for the task, as his whorling eyes
alit on his objective, loyal in his goal.
Coriianna looks at the hatchling with a smile. She has flitts at home, and
she doesn't want anymore, she thinks, but she can't help but enjoy watching
them. Watching can't hurt, right?
Mostly Harmless Brown Hatchling tumbles out of his egg and then blinks
diaphanous lids in disbelief as he twists his head to peek around. A slow,
soft creel - just like any firelizard'd give - is emitted, as he looks for
attention.
Mostly harmless nothing. Emergent brown is regarded with a look of mixed
malice and suspicion. "Durned silly sneaky firelizards. Can't trust 'em." Of
course, she's scratching Torpen's eyeridge as she states this. "Creep up
behind when you least expect it from that sweet 'n' innocent face." Time to
horde the rolls again.
Dana pours a bit more salt on her meatrolls and takes them down on the floor
with her. Mayhap the hatching firelizards will like them. Salt should be good
for them at this stage. Pushing a soggy tidbit around on her plate to soak up
the juices. Popping it into her mouth, Dana closes her eyes and grimaces.
Good? A few are rolled cross the floor, leaving trails of own juices. They
look like logs and she snickers.
Dallaney peers curiously towards the front, seeing the unusual movements.
Mouth forms into an 'O' of surprise, Dallan craning forward so much she
nearly falls off the bench's edge, but soon enough the inevitable sneer curls
the brown lips as the tanned hazel body of small weyrbrat slips off her seat
to blink innocently at the hatchling. Yes, she's /good/.
Miles has arrived.
Crystal gaze darts from hide to eggs and back again as Aoede contemplates.
Then, throwing caution to the winds, harper sets the hide on a table and
picks up a slice of meat from the table as the brown explodes from his shell.
Then she lowers herself to the floor, careful. Tactful. The slices of meat
are set daintily before her.
Kalina says, "Aaawww"
Mostly Harmless Brown Hatchling is, too, harmless! Well, mostly harmless,
right? At least, he gives that impression - at first - stepping cautiously
away from the rocking remains of his egg to eye the mass of people. Wait.
-That's- what that sensation is. And he goes on a search for Meat.
Taas gazes at the elegant brown, and manages to drop a meatroll under the
table. "Shards" she mutters, getting on her hands and knees to go in search
of the meatroll. Crawling under the table, the herder /very/ elegantly gets
stuck between a couple chairs and the top of the table....
Caper-Caper. Miles stops short. Well he /is/ short isn't he? And attempts to
gain back some dignity. He supposes he should've looked first before entering
in that manner. Seeing the firelizard, he smiles dryly. "Another one of those
creatures. Awfully cute, I suppose."
None of /those/ are even mostly harmless. Qilana's paranoia has been firmly
developed. Her own terrors are excluded from this prejudice, of course. Eyes
glance consideringly at the dramatically pleading Noestrello, and a precious
roll iset aside for the blue. Hmph. The young blue, for his part, attacks the
offering vigorously, snatching half and letting the rest drop to the ground.
Ekaterin has arrived.
Coriianna grins at the display, but she manages to stifle her chuckle. She
remembers the evening she spent chasing a small egg all over Crom, before it
finally hatched her green flitt Mischief.
Dallaney snickers as someone gets caught under the table she's near to. She
won't do that, nope. But next, she starts the usual sly glances she so
shoots to strangers. Just that the brown there, to look so harmless, as
Dallan can. She starts a soft whistling, eyes turning up to the high
ceiling while her fingers pluck a seemingly limp spiderclaw out of her pocket.
Dana folds legs and rocks back and forth, peering over her shoulder at Taas's
'mishap' with the table. Trail of salty meatrolls momentarily forgotten as
she eyes the stuck girl. "Need help." She inquires with irony.
Robyn walks into Main Living Cavern.
Aoede isn't harmless. She's a Harper. She's dangerous and smart and harmful.
And her meat, lying before, is prey to her fingers, tapping, poking, nudging,
tweaking about in a veritable polka of meaty movement. And, of course, it
remains on beat. A Harper beat.
Mostly Harmless Brown Hatchling gets attention. Wow. And all of those people
have food, don't they? Fledgeling firelizard spreads his wings, using them to
balance otherwise perfect strides as he begins to make his rounds. Sample
here, sample there. Where in the world's the -right- meat?
Taas pushes her way out of the mess or furniture, not looking quite so amused
now. She sits up quickly, forgetting about the small inconveniance of the
table top. "Owwww!" She bangs her head into it. Looking toward Dana with a
particularly pained expression she says, "I'm fine, I think..."
Coriianna watches everyone's reaction to the brown hatchling with some
amusement. She is perfectly happy with the flitts she has now, so she isn't
trying to attract another. She's just a spectator now.
Qilana hordes, oh yes she does. "Ain't no way I'm letting anything as
connivving as that /hatchling/ get my prized rolls." Said prized rolls are
currently being picked at by Torpen. But that's not the point. The point is
that the innocent little beastie down there is really a twisted, evil
predator out to ransack her experimental meatrolls. Yeah.
Ekaterin sidles in the doorway, placing a hand on the doorframe and
surriptiously searching for anyone she knows. "Miles!" She says with relief,
crossing the room to seat herself beside him. "What are ypu doing here?"
Taas crawls along under the table a bit more, triumphantly grabbing her
dropped meatroll. "Hmmm..Its kinda squashed...Maybe the brown with like it
anyway?" She says doubtfully, with a glance toward her now empty plate. "I
dunno..."
Dallaney flips the claw idly in browned hand, the cracked shell splitting
slightly along the edges and letting a droplet of juice dribble out. Oh
well. Dallan shrugs, shifting the grip to her other hand, and still
believing in innate wickedness she continues the lip-pursing shrill avian
sounds, fingers tapping in time to herself. Slumping onto a rest on the
table behind, weyrbrat slips searing glances to the -people- for a while,
warily.
Dana nods and squashes a smirk. That's been happening to her all day and it's
a bit gratifying when it happens to someone else. Sorry Taas.. Dana offers a
soggy, deliciously salty meatroll to Taas. Said somewhat dubiously: "You can
use mine. If you really want to. They're a bit..strong."
Her forehead screws up in puzzlement as the small gathering catches her
attention immediately when the healer apprentice steps into the cavern. A few
brisk footsteps and Robyn is at the edge of the crowd, observing what has
gotten everyone's intent attention. A smile plays at the edge of her lips as
she realises a hatching is taking place. Opening her satchel, she pulls out
her rather squashed meatrolls before moving up to the front.
Mostly Harmless Brown Hatchling swings sharply 'round, peering with innocent -
mostly innocent - purple-hued eyes at something over there. Pinions stretch
wider, 'lizard beginning the traverse across the cavern and stopping -
/finally/ - at the feet of one who realizes his inner wickedness. Claws poke
delicately at Qilana's shoe. Yep. I'm evil. Lemme try the meatrolls!
Mahlia has arrived.
Mahlia arrives.
Coriianna grins. Well there's one who didn't stop at niceties.
Mahlia shuffles in with her normal smile and slow moving walk, a piece of
roast wherry in her hand on a white cloth that has a bite taken out of it.
Gulp? Ekaterin. Miles grins like an idiot. She's /here/ She's actually here!.
Whoa. Calm down. Don't scare her off. " Hi. Ekaterin. Can I get you
anything?" Miles asks hopefully
Taas is obviously disapointed, but not to much. There'll be others...
Qilana squeals. "I told you, I told you," she cries in alarm, standing up and
knocking her plate of meatrolls over in the process. "Evil, totally evil.
Fiendish claws, and he's after my meatrolls." The ones now scattered every
which way due to her own clumsiness?
Mostly Harmless Brown Hatchling gives a delicate, suddenly-meek creel,
pathetic face turned upwards towards Qilana. Pleeeease?
Aoede doesn't stop her deadly little dance of meat. Dallaney's sounds are
rewarded with a rather annoyed glance, and Harper begins a slow humming
beneath the girl's - um - chirps. Softens the sound, you know.
Dallaney grins. There, she was right wasn't she? Kid does relax slightly
this time, silent smirk appearing for Qilana's benefit. "Good luck with
him." she slyly mutters.
Scary Smiling Man Egg suddenly breaks the veil of cheerfulness by quaking
violently, before settling. Darn right there'll be others.
Mostly Harmless Brown Hatchling flicks his tail to the left, and then to the
right before pouncing on Qilana.
Ekaterin goes home.
Miles goes home.
Mahlia looks over as she almost spits out her wherry "Hatching!" she says with
a grin as she scuttles over like a crawlie, making her way towards the next
cracking egg.
Kalina slides onto a bech and props her head on her hans, watching.
Scary Smiling Man Egg is cracking, indeed. The facade of dun'n onyx splits,
suddenly, the shell breaking in two, its hatchling occupant tumbled out.
Shards fly and goo splatters as Scary Smiling Man Egg rids itself of its
occupant; a most unusual Maniacally Depressive Blue Hatchling .
Maniacally Depressive Blue Hatchling
Well-built and stocky, musclular strength protrudes in the green-washed blue
of the firelizard. Shortened yet strong limbs are made for the speed,
diaphanous wings well stocked with strength and imbibed with silky sapphire
color. A tail tipped in molten copper smudges to aged ivory at the base of
the brutish appendage and the soft underbelly. Eyes roil with the gentle
colors of lavendar and salmon, despite the muscled violence displayed in his
form.
Maniacally Depressive Blue Hatchling tumbles, yep - tail over headknobs goes
the blue, the burly 'lizard landing flat on his back with wings thrust out.
Spread-eagled position lasts a rather long time, though it's clear he's okay.
The ceiling's just so -cool-...
Mahlia looks at the little blue, frowning a bit as she sees it's sadness, she
puts on a huge smile, her typical happy behavior as she holds out some wherry
towards the little blue, wishing it the best with high-hopes.
A smile ghosts over Aoede's lips. "That's a positive," she murmurs. Harper
blue. Fingers relentlessly victimize her meat with steady intensity.
Coriianna grins at the rolling entrance of the little blue hatchling, settling
more comfortably into her seat. Ah, these hatchings are so much fun to watch!
Innocuo pounces on the scattered rolls, quickly eating his way through. All
while maintaining a sweet look resembling innocence. Qilana glares for a
moment longer, then picks him up and fetches some of he normal rolls. "Not
gonna use any more of /mine/ on these silly creatures. Oh, no."
Dallaney is taken aback by this next blue, and the 'claw goes limp again as
she ducks her head at the small creature. A frown appears at the distracted
position he is in, and she attempts a look up at the ceiling herself. Now
what's up there to see.
Dana sits upright and prods Taas on the shoulder, unaware of how hard she is
tapping. "Lookit him. Now he's got personality--And other things. Like mental
disorders. and balance problems" Well obviously what he needs is salt; a
cure-all for /most/ afflications.
Kalina grins
Maniacally Depressive Blue Hatchling isn't lookin' at anything, darnit.
Firelizard rolls over, drawing himself to his feet rather oddly, with wings
thrust behind him and tail lashing furiously. Mood's -swung-, apparently; the
blue now sulks, moping about in circles.
Taas turns to glance at Dana. "Yeah. He really does have personallity...He's
also kinda cute..."
Imaur has arrived.
Mahlia oohs towards the little blue, keeping up her smile, well trying to as
empathy leaved a shaded cloud over her smiling body.
Imaur slogs snowily inside, heading with obvious weariness towards the inner
caverns.
Slog. Good word.
Karli has arrived.
Karli arrives.
Robyn smiles shy at Qilana. "Congrats." Speaking of others, someone's cry of
"hatching' cause to turn her head. Her eyes shining, she admires the handsome
features. One with character and whom she empathise with. Squashed meatrolls
are dangled to catch the attention of the hatchling,.
Imaur walks toward Lower Caverns.
Kalina scoots a little closer to the scene.
"Hullo...." Karli sends long eyelashes to caress near cheeks as she blinks,
long and hard. Too bad only one left, eh? Spiced wherry-strips hang
temptingly from her belt as resident moves over towards a bench. Sliding foot
onto the bench she reaches over to grasp long fingers around handle of unused
mug. Pitchers are checked for good klah before woman turns back to the
remaining egg. No loss. She slides a slice from her belt and waggles it
absently near her side before striding a little closer -- as best she can in
a crowd.
Dallaney looks up sharply at the claims of personality. "Weird." she rather
thinks, rubbing her neck with the free hand. Dallan, ever the mocker, pulls
her lower lip down as well on noticing the hatchling's expression. In a mood
of mischief, mouth silently quirks as the tiny girl lets the 'claw dangle
nearly to the floor in false dejection. Pathetic, really.
Dana nods avidly in reply to Taas. What? Is Dana becoming interested in
something? Incredible. Manic is sulking. Now, that /not/ what you do to get
your way. You've got to manipulate people into wanting to do things the way
you want. And stay away from Shrinks. Shrinks are /bad/. Evil.
"Congrats nothing. It's a twisted, fiendish brute, and you're just saying that
to rub it in that I got stuck with him." Qilana's glare includes all as she
stuffs the rolling baby 'lizzen with food and strokes his head. He's demonic.
Can;t you see it in the cute baby eyes?
Aoede eyes the blue shrewdly. "That's a negative," she mutters as she views
the moping activity with a jaundiced gaze. "I hate a sulker." With an audible
sniff, she pulls her meat back slightly.
Maniacally Depressive Blue Hatchling is -not- weird. He's... he's.. unique.
Mood goes -whoosh-, again, the 'lizard's tail suddenly lifting; he wriggles
from tailtip to nose, suddenly, boinging in parody of cheerfulness around the
people. Someone interest him. He -does- want to eat. That will make him
happier.
Taas suppressess a giggle as Dana starts talking too the blue in an odd way.
Karli giggles childishly and waggles her meat, hopefully temptingly. Bangs
flop on her forehead as she collapses onto her knees, clutching her side with
a light wince. Forgot about that. "Weird is not a good word. Hungry, is
better, no?" she grins, holding the meat with one hand and brushing madly at
a few strands. Grin turns scowlish, "Stupid bangs." she snorts then plasters
on a grin again.
Mahlia giggles a bit as the blue changes moods, wow and it's a male too!! Shwe
holds out her hands still with roast wherry inside.
Taera steps lightly into Main Living Cavern.
A pleased smile replaces Aoede's scowl. "It's always nice to see a happy
face," she observes urbanely, slim fingers sliding her meat forward once
more, but lingering restlessly upon them, still not content with stillness
and tweaking the meat from side to side.
Kalina sighs jelously
Coriianna isn't going to interest the blue flitt, even if he is cute. No food
on her. She just watches, trying to keep her laughter from erupting.
Dana eyes Taas. Nothing odd about this. I'm just informing him how it is.
S'all. If he wants t'ask me more. I've food here. Dana gestures at line of
compulsively arranged tidbits. S'bit salty, but it'll be good for him. Glad
he's making people want to help him now and not just sulking. Quick learner.
Taas nods slowy to Dana. "Of course...."
A small smile on her face as she eyes the blue intently. The meatrolls are
dangled again, an oftering of companionship and empathy perhaps..
Dallaney has food, yes she does, in the shape of little swinging spiderclaw
with the little slit in its side, small hand attached making it do the
jiggle-jig in excited motions. Juices continue their seepage on the wild
journey of the 'claw in Dallan's hand, certainly at a good height for a
flying creature to get. Provided he can jump. Doubtfully, kidling wrinkles
her forehead, at hatchling and rest of cavern. Interesting, certainly.
Taera is yawning as she enters the cavern, heading straight for the klah,
glance cast neither right, nor left. Mug issecured, and sipped at slowly as
she turns to survey the cavern, shifting a little to catch sight of what the
group surround. A smile touches her lips, but she remains with her klah by
the hearth, absently reaching behind her for the first piece of food that
comes to hand, a meatroll, which she bites into.
Maniacally Depressive Blue Hatchling -is- a quick learner; eyes're drawn
certainly to salty, compulsively arranged 'rolls. Jeweled orbs widen, red
fading briefly to purple as he nibbles. What do you say, Dana? Are they good?
Good? Course they're good. Dana affirms stoicly. Would I offer anyone bad
food? Well..maybe. But not you. They're salty and that should answer all your
questions. Dana lobs one off the floor and munches it. See? Taste-test.
Maniacally Depressive Blue Hatchling chitters incessantly. His wing hurts
and there is something crooked about his tail. But you don't care, do you
Dana?
Lights of New York Egg waggles sinuously, tapping out the rhythm of the city
against the ground as it slowly begins to twirl, counting down; the ball
drops... and it cracks.
Lights of New York Egg explodes, leaving behind scattered shards...and
Mixed-up Rotund Brown Hatchling!
Mixed-up Rotund Brown Hatchling
Rust mingles with russet swirls; a hint of wheaten gold seeps through
mahogany, illuminating entire sections of broad torso. Spare could hardly be
applied to this firelizard, naturally chubby and rounded. Head is build on
round terms, and neck is chubby; neck trails into a body of baby fat and
crudely outlined limbs. Only the wings about this firelizard are dainty.
Aureate speckles sweep 'cross nut-brown plains of gracefully translucent
wings whilst same color dapples eyeridges 'bove large eyes and perpetually
sweet expression.
Mahlia sighs as the little blue heads away, but smiles again as she sees the
next hatch, immediately her hand shoots out towards the adorable little brown
hoping that the little one will walk her way.
"Congradulations!" Karli waves to Dana, lightly familiar to her. Resident
shifts and pulls her legs into a crossed position, back leaning against the
bench behind her. "Hullohullo." hand immediately shifts outwards as left hand
fishes out meatrolls, multi-flavored ones, and rolls a few forward to tempt
the hatchling. Eyes gaze at it as head absently cocks to one side.
Mixed-up Rotund Brown Hatchling spills neatly onto the floor, pinions
twitching delicately in sharp contrast to chubby frame. Creeeeeel. Food?
Dana nods enthuiastically as Manic makes up his mind and accepts the
salt-soaked food. "Good? Isn't it?" Knew you'd like it. She examines his
limbs carefully and with surprising gentleness, glancing up briefly to give
Taas, Karli, and everbody else a rare grin. "Isn't he great?" nd returns to
her ministrations, nearly oblivious to her surroundings.
Taera moves forward just a little from where she stands, a smile tugging at
the corners of her mouth. Perhaps it's the healer in her which prompts her to
care, or perhaps not. At any rate, the meatroll is put to a better use than
breakfast, and she edges forward into the crowd, crouching to extend a palm
forward, meatroll carefully offered.
Karli shuffles forward as best she and twirls around so that she more easily
may offer the juicy wherry strip. It looks a little annoying for a hatchling
to eat, being half an arm's length. She cuts it up with a delightful smile,
constantly flashing this friendly feature to the hatchling she leans forward,
offering the messily sliced pieces along with assortedly flavored meatrolls.
Taas stops laughing at Dana as the Mixed-up Brown fellow emerges from his egg
shards. Well, Taas doesn't like to be hypocritical, but, finds herself
chatting to him. Looking even more doubtfully at the still squashed meatroll
in her hand, she wiggles in sadly...
Mahlia giggles tossing a little piece of her juicy wherry towards the little
brown one, just so that it lands right infront of the little one, she tosses
a few more pieces, making a trail leading to the jackpot, a nice big chunk of
wherry set infront of her.
Dallaney notices people sitting and follows suit, not that she'd be caught
copying. Legs fold up beneath her boyishly as klah curls bounce on small
head. Barely a glance is given to former impressees, for Dallan concentrates
on the brown while trying all the while to appear the sweet girl she is
inside. Really.
Aoede retracts the meat again, a fierce frown on her face once more. Fine,
then. But upon seeing the brown, the meat shoots out once more. Slim fingers
hesitate with indecision, half-pulling the slice back. For a while, it seems
the Harper plays with a yo-yo, for her fingers flick back and forth, back and
forth.
Mixed-up Rotund Brown Hatchling shuffles out, leaving remains of glittery
shell behind. Head weaves, the fledgeling peering in straightforward
innocence at the hooomans. Dey got food? He proceeds to turn around and walk
the other way. Eep.
Mahlia smiles hoping that the little one won't get to confused, just follow
the line
Leshana walks into Main Living Cavern.
Dana calls Manic closer.
Robyn takes her eyes off the blue with a nod of congratulation to lucky one
who has just impressed. Her eyes fall on the new hatchling..a sweet one..She
shuffles forward to geta better view... perhaps? The meatroll is dangling,
her hands is stained even further by the seeping of the meat juices. A shy
smile plays at her lips and so focus she is on the brown hatchling is this
healer apprentice that she fails to notice her Master.
Dana strides towards the door, bearing her new patient. "Night all!"
Dana goes home.
Taera is not merely smiling now, but openly grinning, the woman's head tilted
slowly to one side as she watches the youngling orient himself. Palm remains
still, an easy target, one he should be able to make with minimal effort. Or
perhaps maximum effort, but with a little luck, he'll make it.
Candle dozes off...
Karli giggles, rolling a meatroll back and forth between hands and finally
attempting to juggle them. Attempts are fruitless and meatrolls rain down and
roll about the floor, watch out everyone! Mess up resident clasps a hand over
her mouth and innocently dangles a piece of meat, absently, about. It swings
in designs, invisible patterns, and just kooky routes.
Leshana walks in, garments in one hand, and meat roll in the other. "What
in..." First goats and now hatchlings, what is happening to this place? Meat
roll is dropped and smashed upon the floor. "Shells, this is too much."
Qilana calls Innocuo closer.
Mixed-up Rotund Brown Hatchling pauses as he reaches a table leg, craning his
neck and peering up. Okay. No food. Abouuuuut face! Cheery 'lizard hops in a
small circle so he can face the folks - and trundles their way, belly not
even getting in the way. Miracle. Okay. Shooow me the foooood!
The glittery shell catches the herder's eye, and Taas carefully selects a
fragment of it to keep safe as a treasure for as long as it lasts: hopefully
forever. Turning her attention back to the brown, she whirls to quickly, and
a large piece of the meatroll glops to the floor. "Dangit!" She sighs,
fingering the small piece of smooshed meatroll...
Dallaney blinks, bewildered as to why the brown is heading in the opposite
direction. Especially with that hunk of shell in front of her that's
presently dumped unceremoniously onto the floor. Deep brown eyes turn to the
claw, that she absently clacks, attention on the food piece--her new playmate.
Mixed-up Rotund Brown Hatchling *bwas. I posed too fast. Feel free to pose a
second time if I cut your pose off. :)
Aoede flaps the meat impatiently, wondering. Wondering. "What the shards're
you like?" she growls at the brown. "Show me some personality
here.Great..."
Picky, yes. Ah well. One hand goes to tuck a stray strand of dark hair behind
her ear as she finishes, "...stars."
Mahlia giggles again, her smile still plastered on her face, even though it is
still sincere. She holds out her hand towards the little brown as she looks
at the pile and trail of wherry pieces.
Leshana shakes herhead and laughs. "Oh well, at least they're cute." She
laughs again and bends to pick up the bits of meat roll. "Ow..forgot the
ribs..." Well, they're healing now, another laugh is given at her
clumbsyness.
Hand sweeps backwards and tucks a lock behide ear as Karli smiles cheerily and
waggles her remaining meat. The rest seems to have rolled unceromoniously
into the crowd, into the path of the hatchlings, and into the waiting maw of
watching firelizards. "Shards! I am always a mess up, wish there were more of
them in the world to help me get along." she is heard to mutter among other
things and she hopes the fresh smell of the spices and just the juicy wherry
is enough to attract some hatchling attentions.
Dallaney briefly glances up, then back to her claw. A pause while she thinks,
looking up again. Ohh, he's fat. Mustn't eat too much. 'Brat tugs the
cracked piece of shell out and lets it hover for a moment, scooting the rest
of it under the covering awn of an obscuring arm. There, that should hide it.
Robyn sinks into a kneeling postion. Tired? You bet. The meat strips dangle
from side to side, sometimes swriling in a circle Even as the brown walk
pass her, she still hangs it on with hope and the oftering of promised
friendliness and compaionship still holds.
Aoede's fingers play a pretty dance with the meat as she awaits some sign of
life, of - brains? from this brown. Should she take a chance? Should she
gamble - or should she play it safe? Perhaps he needs a keeper, perhaps he'll
go on his own. Harper gambles, and thrusts her meat out towards the brown,
firm in her resolve.
Taera's palm is near to the ground, moving only a little, perhaps enough to
attract attention. An easy target, one that presents teh least possible
challenge. Which may well be a good thing, for with this brown it seems that
a small challenge might be quite enough. The Master's eyes stray for a
momeent, noting her apprentices nearby, but greetings are saved for later as
she contents herself with crouching quietly.
Mixed-up Rotund Brown Hatchling moves in a sway-ish type walk, sidling up
towards Dallaney. The kid's hiding something from him, and he's already soo
confused. Peek?
Karli has disconnected.
Mahlia sighs dropping her meat on the floor as she stands up.
Taas goes home.
Ember dozes off...
Aoede goes home.
Mahlia turns away getting ready to leave.
Dallaney snickers, peeling up her arm slightly to show the rest of the 'claw,
soft mutter of "Dimglow." exiting her lips. Her pet phrase, yes? She pushes
the spiderclaw towards the hatchling with another delicious smirk. There, he
can stuff himself.
Kalina says, "Bye"
Leshana is still trying to clean up her mess, she's far to picky. "I can't
believe my clumbsyness, you'd think I had no quordination at all." She
chuckles. "Guess it's starting to go..."
Mixed-up Rotund Brown Hatchling wishes to have you as his lifemate. Do you
accept?
Please enter 'yes' or 'no'. Please type the whole word.
Qilana goes home.
High-pitched creels turn to warbling croons as Mixed-up Rotund Brown Hatchling
wobbles towards you.
Kalina picks up a piece of /something/ and holds it out.
Some drudges arrive to cart Karli off to bed.
Kalina scoots a bit closer.
